Extortion Phone Calls
Maybe real - maybe not
People speaking spanish have called a number of business asking for $20,000 pesos - or else. The Guadalajara Reporter recommends that you hang up by one of the people receiving a call.
So basically there are two types of extortion attempts - spam calls and valid narco extortion. Personally, we don't know how to differentiate the two - and encourage you to advise any callers attempting extortion that "you don't speak spanish"
