| Description: | I was robbed at knifepoint by two young (19-23?) men plus one younger on a bike. They demanded my money and before I could respond in any way they grabbed my large shoulder bag and ran across the street, climbed over a large gate into a vacant lot. There they dumped the contents out of the bag, leaving it and everything except my wallet and house keys behind. Chapala police responded, took a report, and recovered the bag plus most of the contents from the lot. I no longer carry a purse or bag of any kind while walking. I have purchased an alarm which I do take with me as well as a loud whistle. Both are at my finger tips, but not sure if they will be of any real benefit if this should happen again |
