Translation Tools

So how do you read online news in spanish when you don't know the language. A simple way is to use google translate. Just copy the URL is your address bar and go to www.translate.google.com and paste the URL into the translate box.

A much better way is to use Windows Google Chrome Translation Features. When you install this Google Chrome Extension, and use Google Chrome as your browser, you can set it up to automatically translate a page if it is in a foreign language. (You can also set this up for Google Email).

If you don't have google chrome as a browser, click here to optionally download it. www.support.google.com/chrome and here is a link to the features in google chrome. Its not that intuitive at first, so best to spend 4 minutes to look at the features - www.google.com/chrome

Once google chrome is installed, click the wrench on the right of the tool bar, select options, select extensions, and turn on the translation option.

www.mexico.cnn.com Cnn Mexico sometimes has original news about Crime in Mexico. In Spanish.
